Andrew Harris
Andrew Harris has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services industry and qualifications in Portfolio Management, Estate Planning, Financial Planning, Banking, Treasury, Foreign Exchange and Investment Trading, Capital Markets, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Risk Management, Sales and Marketing.
As a member of the Senior Management Teams for two of Canada’s largest banks, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, West Indies Holdings Limited and Scotiabank, 2001 to 2010, he was instrumental in the implementations of their Treasury Divisions and increased the revenues and profitability of both banks as he developed their treasury operations from cost-centres, into revenue generating profit-centres. Also, he has identified revenue generating ideas and new product offerings.
Career Highlights
He was a licensed Mutual Funds Dealer and Investment Advisor with the Ontario Securities Commission, Canada, 1994 to 2000 and through extensive training and work experience, has been able to perform due diligence on specific cases taking into account legal risk and reputation risk, and clarified customers and the organizations most immediate objectives and long-term goals.
He has managed both CIBC's and Scotiabank's multimillion dollar portfolios very successfully by increasing their net profits and ROEs year over year in the countries of his responsibility, without exposing these institutions to any financial risks.
